Distric Attorney and Sheriff Win the Battle

Partial view of the public that attended the Riverside County meeting
of July 31, 2012. Our publisher delivered a speech backing up the
initiative of D.A. Zellerbach and Sheriff Sniff, but just in case the
Supervisors were going to vote against it, an alternative was
presented requesting a workshop. The Board approved the raise
for those managers who have been making less money than the
subordinates. Justice was done.

The Board of Riverside County Supervisors approved a raise for managers and executives of the District Attorney's office and the Sheriff Department. County D.A. Paul Zellerbach and Sheriff Stan Sniff were fighting to end an unfair situation where non-unionized officials where making less money than their unionized subordinates.  The new measure will cost $1.6 million to the present budget, benefiting 11 executives in the Sheriff Department and 25 people in the D.A., who have helped to restructure the prosecutors office since Zellerbach took over of it in 2010, after defeating Rod Pachecho in one of the most exciting election in the County.
